Experienced Louisiana Insurance & Risk Management Consultant Harold "Chip" Louis Brockhaus

Harold Louis Brockhaus (Chip) joined Alera Group in Metairie, Louisiana, as the result of a merger as a risk and bond consultant in 2024. In this position, he provides Alera Group with various risk management and insurance consulting services. He previously spent nearly 25 years as a risk consultant at IUL / IUL Risk Solutions, also in Metairie, Louisiana. During his time with IUL, Harold Louis Brockhaus, who is also known as Chip, built numerous risk management programs designed to protect both assets and human capital. He continued in this position, earning the company’s Eagle Award and Purple Cow Award, until IUL merged with Alera Group in 2024.

Earlier in his career, Harold Brockhaus spent nearly a decade as a neighborhood exclusive agent with Allstate Insurance, Co., during which time he owned and operated an independent office in Slidell. He subsequently led operations at Affiliated Insurance Agencies as the president and chief executive officer. He oversaw a 400 percent increase in revenue, leading up to the company’s merger with IUL in 2000.

Chip Brockhaus is a commissioned Stephen Minister at St. Timothy on the Northshore in Mandeville. He serves on several nonprofit boards and engages in various charitable projects.
